An Unexpected Blessing

My daughter, Charo Mae a 26 yr old high school teacher, full of sighs everytime she goes home. "Oh mom, Im so tired for the whole school year, teaching, doing this and that, running here and there, have to be the emcee of every activity, had to face the parents for questions and complaints, checking the test papers (she handled five sections of classes in English) and so many more." "Why not rest?", I asked? "Oh how I wish mom, how could I, we need to earn for our bills so I have to accept the summer job." I could feel how weary my daughter is, she really need a vacation. I just whispher, "never mind, baby, should I earn a commission from real estate, you quit the school's summer job and take a one or two weeks vacation." "Really mom?, in sweet smiles she replied. "I told you to enroll with your M.A. so you become a college prof, atleast you're not that so preoccupied, besides you'll be earning per hour," I added. "Mom, still am not ready, for the tuition fee, maybe next sem." My poor daughter, she can't push through with her plans, as shes supporting us.
One day she came home, and ask me to prepare her clothings as she's leaving for Antipolo for two weeks due to a seminar and the school is sending her to attend. "Two weeks?", I asked, worrying as it's her first time to be away from home that long. "NO, I told our principal I'll be home on the week ends", she replied. Once she arrived there with two others from two of their school campuses, she texted me there's a problem, they found out that they were enrolled for M.A. and she's very much worried it might be a salary deduction, knowing that it's an International school for graduate studies, it would cost high. I advise her to come home instead. She contacted her superiors only to find out that she was really enrolled for M.A. with full scholarship and the school paid her board and lodging plus food for 14,000 pesos. The school was designed for busy moneyed people who don't have the time to attend their M.A. subjects for two years, taking it every Saturday. Though there are scholarships offered to public school teachers who qualified with their given exams. The tuition fee however for regular attendees is 250,000 pesos.
God is Good, she gave my daughter her much needed vacation, as though they're studying but they have all the comfort. They were provided with the swimming pool, airconditioned bedrooms, personal computers and good food. The unexpected wonderful blessing was her taking up her M.A. with no expense but just by studying hard during that two weeks stay. Before going home, she successfully passed her Defense with the much respected panel of judges. Shes doing another thesis applicable to her actual teaching this school year and be back to that school for another two weeks of comfort and studies on May next year. Should she succesfully defend her thesis again, shes's be graduating for her M.A. set at the Manila Hotel. With God nothing is impossible. My daughter was rewarded her much longed vacation and at the same time, her dreamt M.A. education. Am so happy for my Charo Mae, she deserves everything for being a hardworking, efficient teacher and a very kind, responsible daughter. Should we can't do means, God will. To God be the Glory.
